Hackathon Focus Areas

Advance summarization and visualization for the All-Care team

Teams will develop solutions to summarize, integrate, and visualize complex multidisciplinary data. This will both provide clinicians with a clearer picture of patient progress and future care needs, to understand their hospital journey and manage post-discharge care.

Innovation leveraging the temporal aspects of patient data

Teams will develop solutions that identify temporal relationships in complex clinical data and leverage these for point of care innovation.  This includes connecting, ordering, and identifying the duration between clinical events that are integral to understanding relationships between clinical interventions and patient outcomes.

  • Secure data enclave

  • Structured health record from data from 2 complex patient populations: 

    • Patients who experience a Falls with injury (N= 87,922) and

    • NICU patients transitioning home (N=14,021) from four Midwest academic health systems. 

  • PCORnet common data common model is available for the structured MD data. Python, R, and other common tools will be available. Additional software tool requests will be considered in advance of the event.
